The Fibersphere..... ./- 11:

/- 11:

I start from slumber under stars and hidden in the grass
the moonless dark eternity
is lulling moments past.

One time, when gazing at the stars,
bird sillouttes I find
that cut across the foreground
with strobing stars behind.

They maintained an echelon
as they crossed the sky,
keeping tight in their formation,
symmetrical and dignified.
I cannot recall precisely,
nor accurate describe
nor forget the beauty seen
among the birds that night.

~~ ~~ ~~

like warm milk and honey,

the tonic of that memory
soon has found me drifting back
my prior dream returning fast.....

We thought that our precession
made a glacial age the norm

every hundred thousand years or so
with 10 thousand felt warm
we knew what rocks could tell us
but we didn't know what's next
And the sun wasn't behaving
like predicted from the best.
That brings me to the year....
which one are we in now?
"well my son, I'm glad you asked!
I would've told you anyhow"

I say to passing mirror,
only this one's in my dream
"We think it's somewhere
thereabout 3483
Or that's what the simulators
recon it to be
among the many sources
there are some descrepencies
and that is why the date
remains a partial mystery.

The warmer air returned
after near 400 times
Our orbit 'round the sun,
then fate to us was kind...
For magma far below now
thru volcanoes sought escape

Which carbonized the air
And the cold would soon abate

And the ice began it's dance
Toward the poles, more every year
But records incontinous
within the time between
humanity would live below
the ground, it mostly seemed
or close to the equator,
they resurfaced for awhile
But not for very long
could now the surface they defile

As very soon they knew again
they must escape below
as sulphuric acid rain
made it's appearance known

Volcanic ash and dust and gas
we thought would melt the ice
and melt it did, but not quite
as fast as we would like.
Finally it's back to where it was some time ago

Again we have 4 seasons:
summer rain and winter snow

 to be continued....
